Cartography

The Riviera benefits from more light and sunshine than anywhere else in France, (approximately 300 days/ annum).

Rain is relatively rare, falling especially violently on occasion from autumn to early spring (800mm on average), however it is not uncommon to be sitting on the beach over Christmas.

The mild climate of the coast, mixed with fresh winds from the valleys and the abundance of snow enjoyed by the Southern Alps, offers a range of climate difficult to experience anywhere else in the world.

The coast between Cannes and Menton boasts an exceptionally moderate temperature throughout the winter, without excessive heat during summer months.

It is therefore quite possible, during the winter months, to ski in the morning and sit on the beach in the afternoon!

The Cote d’Azure is home to over 1 million inhabitants occupying some of the Riviera’s most internationally recognised towns such as Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Grasse and Monaco. Next to Paris, the Cote d’Azure is the second most popular region for tourism with Nice International airport the second largest in France.

From the mesmerizing natural beauty of the sun drenched coast line and the perched hill-top villages steeped in history, to the prestige and international recognition of Monaco and Cannes,  this region, located to the extreme South Eastern corner of France, is one of the most visited and popular places to live in the world.
